About Shaun Rigby

I’ve spent 25 years living and breathing stories—first as a journalist, then in public affairs and strategic communication. Over the years, I’ve ghostwritten for politicians and CEOs with numerous op-eds published in major publications like The Australian, Australian Financial Review, and The Guardian. I’ve even had the privilege of navigating some of Australia’s biggest news events, including managing the hundreds of media during the Beaconsfield mine disaster—a moment that taught me the true power of clear, human storytelling under pressure.

But beyond the headlines, cabinet tables and boardrooms, I’ve always been drawn to the kind of stories that make your heart race and your imagination run wild. That passion led me to write my debut novel, The Last Hope—a sweeping science fiction adventure that merges my love of narrative with my lifelong fascination for the “what ifs” of the universe. I did it for fun but it has obviously resonated with readers, so I am working on the trilogy now.
